At PFF, the run game is just as important as the passing game, and every play is carefully reviewed. Each week we take a look at the top-rated run blockers and run defenders from each position.

OFFENCE

Tackle: Larry Borom, Miami Dolphins – 90.7

Larry Borom and the Miami Dolphins traveled to Spain and earned their second straight win. The Dolphins’ run game was sensational, rushing for 5.5 yards per attempt. Borom led the way for the Dolphins offensive line with his run-blocking grade of 90.7 PFF. That was the highest single-match mark of Borom’s career.

Honorable mention: Spencer Brown, Buffalo Bills – 86.6

Guard: Ezra Cleveland, Jacksonville Jaguars – 84.7

The Jaguars got back on track in a big way with a dominant win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Under Ezra Cleveland’s leadership, the Jaguars’ 0.197 EPA per run was the second-highest mark in Week 11. Cleveland’s overall PFF grade of 90.5 was the best among all offensive linemen in the NFL, while his run-blocking grade of 84.7 PFF was the highest of his season.

Honorable mention: Quinn Meinerz, Denver Broncos – 82.8

Center: Ryan Neuzil, Atlanta Falcons – 77.7

Despite the loss, the Falcons’ run game was still strong, averaging 4.5 yards per attempt – and Ryan Neuzil led the way. Neuzil has now gone four games with a PFF run-blocking grade above 73.0, and is still having a career year in the run game. The former undrafted free agent is now PFF’s eighth run-blocking center this season.

Honorable mention: Aaron Brouwer, Miami Dolphins – 77.2

DEFENSE

Linebacker: Jordyn Brooks, Miami Dolphins – 89.8

Jordyn Brooks continues to have a fantastic year as a run defender. Brooks is now PFF’s fourth-highest rated run-defense linebacker of the season. On Sunday, Brooks recorded seven tackles and four run stops with no missed tackles. Brooks remains a tackling machine as he has missed just one attempt in the run game this season.

Honorable mention: Drue Calm down, Kansas City Leaders – 86.6

Edge Defender: Maxx Crosby, Las Vegas Raiders – 80.9

Despite another disappointing season for the Raiders, Maxx Crosby continues to play at a high level. Crosby’s overall PFF grade of 91.2 was the highest among all edge defenders in Week 11. While he was once again a dominant pass rusher, his performance in the run game also stood out. Crosby led all edge defenders in Week 11 with four run stops, and he now has the second-most run stops in the league this season.

Honorable mention: Joey Bosa, Buffalo Bills – 76.4

Defensive tackle: John Jenkins, Baltimore Ravens – 89.7

John Jenkins had a career day on Sunday with his overall PFF grade of 91.4. The veteran defensive lineman is in his 13th season in the NFL and Sunday marked the highest mark of his career in a single game. Jenkins was a force against the run against the Browns, contributing two run stops while missing zero tackles.

Honorable mention: Jeffery Simmons, Tennessee Titans – 87.9
