The total increased amount is now more than £ 125,000 between 2021 – 2024. The club is also on schedule to collect another £ 30,000 this year.
Ramsdale Park Golf Center celebrates an extraordinary representation of endurance, spirit and generosity after club captain, Daryl Woolley and PGA Professional, Jack Stoppard completed a debilitating 100 Holes Golf in a single day – an impressive £ 3,450 for charity.
The collected funds are added to the growing annual charity total of Ramsdale Park. An incredible £ 32,000 alone was collected last year, and the fundraising of the club will support two meaningful goals: Emmanuel House, a charity established in Nottingham and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
After the event, the general manager of Ramsdale Park Golf Center, Theresa Plimmer said, “To see Daryl and Jack smile from start to finish – even because of the exhaustion – was really inspiring. This was not just a test of endurance, it was a celebration of where Ramsdale Park stands for.
Generosity, togetherness and grit. The charities that Daryl has chosen are close to our hearts, and I am so proud of the members and employees who come together to make things like this possible. Ramsdale Park is really more than a golf club, it is a community. “
The duo was phased out at 4:00 am, in the early dark hours the early dark hours was accompanied by general manager, Theresa Plimmer, and club handicap secretary, Mark Northern, for the first nine holes, which set the tone for a remarkable day of fundraising. From there, Daryl and Jack walked off every hole, they fought against fatigue, pain and summer heat.
The original plan was to conquer 99 holes, but when the spicy starter ‘Brian’ from Ramsdale Park promised an extra £ 100 extra for only one, they did not shrink. With painful legs but reasons dedication, they dug deep and completed their 100one Hole, met by Cheers van Ramsdale Park members who proved to be supported.
This achievement is just the newest example of the lively culture and inclusive spirit of the club. Jack Stoppard, a cornerstone of the ‘Pathway to Golf’ program of Ramsdale Park, continues to accompany the next generation of golfers through his work with juniors, making the future of the sport both accessible and exciting.
One of the most important beneficiaries, Emmanuel House, offers essential support to people who are homeless, sleep roughly or run the risk of homelessness in Nottingham.
