The Mena Golf Tour makes an expected return later this year, with former DP World Tour Chief Operating Officer and official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) board member Keith Waters appointed as chairman and commissioner.
The extensive experience and strategic leadership of Waters is expected to significantly increase the status and influence of the Tour.
The Mena Golf Tour, founded in 2011, remains the only OWGR-recognized circuit with headquarters in the Middle East and offers essential possibilities for professional golfers from the region and all over the world.
The addition of Waters, which brings for more than 40 years of expertise that the DP world tour develops and played an important role in the founding of the OWGR in 2004, will be transforming.

According to the guidance of Waters, the Tour remains an eligible OWGR tour, together with improved prize money, which further increases its competitive attraction.
“We are delighted that the Mena Golf Tour will remain an eligible World Golf Ranking Tour, as well as prize money of $ 100,000 per event,” said Waters.
“Each tournament is disputed more than 54 holes, with a 36-hole cut to the top 60 players and tires, with the winner taking home $ 18,000.”
The re -launched 2025/2026 Mena Golf Tour season will contain a schedule of 12 events, starting in Portugal. The opening event follows a qualifying school in November, specially designed for non-exempt players.
