Ram’s Electric Truck is dead

Ram unveiled his competitor at the Chevrolet Silverado EV and Ford F-1500 Lightning-de Ram 1500 Rev-op de New York Auto Show 2023. Originally planned to launch last year as the first fully electric truck of the company, RAM has now officially canceled the project.

In a statement that was released earlier today, RAM announced that the “development” will stop “from the fully electric pick -up. However, the name” Rev “will live on, because the company is its hybrid -handed -out electric vehicle (Reev), the Ramcharger, as the new RAM 1500 Rev.

The statement said:

“Because the demand for full-size battery-electric trucks slows down in North America, Stellantis has been reassessed his product strategy and will stop the development of a full-size Bev-Pick-up.”

RAM was originally planning to launch his electric 1500 in 2024, but in May the company announced a delay until 2026 when the company shifted the Focus to the Ramcharger Hybrid.

In the meantime, RAM reduced the Hemi V-8 engine in the 1500 pick-up. New CEO Tim Kuniskis admitted that it was a mistake to drop the fan train of the fan. “We crushed it,” Kuniskis said reporters. The return of the V-8 has already proven to be a hit with buyers.

RAM is the newest of many car manufacturers that reduce EV ambitions. Audi is said to have canceled the production of the upcoming RS6 EV, Honda has scrapped its large electric SUV and reportedly reconsider Lamborghini his long-awaited EV program.
