Thai striking sensation Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon boldly predicted that he will knockout Russian knockout artist Abdulla “Smash Boy” Dayakaev in the main event of A Fighting Night 39 on Friday, January 23 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Superbon Training Camp representative ignored his opponent’s striking power while emphasizing his diverse stand-up arsenal and superior speed advantages heading into this crucial bantamweight Muay Thai showdown.
Rambolek stated that he will turn the lights off on the Dagestan-born striker and seemed optimistic that a win would position him for a title shot against Dayakaev’s Team Mehdi Zatout stablemate, ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nabil Anane.
Rambolek rejects Russian clout

Analyzing the stylistic matchup, Rambolek downplayed his opponent’s dangerous reputation by suggesting the Russian relies solely on boxing without possessing the full skill set. The Thai striker pointed to his versatile Muay Thai weapons and speed advantages as decisive factors in determining the outcome.
“Dayakaev’s fighting style? Punches, nothing more. His strengths include his powerful strikes and the punches. The advantages I have include my variety of Muay Thai weapons. I may also have better speed compared to him. All he has is his punch, while I am equipped with everything,” Rambolek said.
It’s quite clear that the Thai competitor believes his traditional Muay Thai techniques will overwhelm Dayakaev, despite the Russian finding so much success with his boxing-heavy approach.
Superbon Protege promises to reverse the ‘Smash Boy’ nickname
Rambolek took his verbal attack even further and made a bold final prediction while playing on his opponent’s name ‘Smash Boy’. The 22-year-old, who is the protégé of ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon, vowed to deliver the knockout blow before the Russian challenger can unleash his dangerous power.
“The ‘Smash Boy’ wouldn’t be able to hit me because he will be crushed by me first. In our fight I will turn off his lights,” Rambolek said.
Rambolek’s recent string of successes highlights his ability to dominate and eliminate his opponents. His four-fight winning streak even includes a phenomenal second-round TKO victory over Russian Dmitrii Kovtun, proving he has the power to back up his bold predictions against dangerous opposition.
Thai Star Eyes Championship Chance After Title Eliminator
With an eye on what awaits us, Rambolek detailed his title aspirations and acknowledged that a dominant victory over Dayakaev is a necessary step toward earning a title shot. The Thai contender expressed belief that an impressive performance would earn a chance against Anane for the 26 pounds of gold.
“My biggest goal is to become champion. For now I just have to focus on this fight. If I ever get through this, I think I might have a chance to win [a shot at the] championship. If I get my victory in this upcoming fight, I think there is a chance that I will fight Nabil,” Rambolek explained.
ONE Fight Night 39 will air live on Prime Video on Friday, January 23. The action starts at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT. The event is free for all Amazon Prime subscribers in the US and Canada.
