Former UFC Flyweight title Challenger Kyoji Horiguchi returns to the Octagon for the inaugural event of the promotion in Qatar next month.
It is more than 10 years ago that flying weight Kyoji Horiguchi lost to Demetrious Johnson due to a final second Armbar in his only UFC title fight. Since the farewell to the UFC in 2017, Horiguchi has earned titles in Rizin and Bellator, and confirmed himself as one of the best flying weights in modern MMA.
After an unbeaten streak of six fight, the UFC chose to reunite with Horiguchi and signed it for a Multi-Fight Deal. Although he returns to the UFC at the age of 34, Horiguchi is convinced that he can return to the UFC Flyweight Title Picture and make a championship run.
Almost exactly nine years to the day since its last UFC performance, Horiguchi will return to UFC Qatar against one of the most dangerous contenders of the flight weight division.

Horiguchi has not fought in Nkazimulo Zulu since a unanimous decision victory in Rizin 49 in his last Rizin flying weight defense. He won the Rizin Flyweight title by beating Makoto Takahashi in Rizin 45, before he defeated Sergio Pettis in a Bantamweight conflict.
Ulanbekov returns to the cage for the first time since the beating of Azat Maksum through a unanimous decision in June. The talented Kazakhse has won four consecutive fights, including finishes against Cody Durden and Nate Maness.
UFC Qatar is colored by a lightweight matchup between Arman Tsarukyan and then hooker. Tsarukyan returns after he had withdrawn from UFC 311 earlier this year, and this will be Hooker’s first fight since a victory over Mateusz Gamrot at UFC 305.
The UFC Qatar Co-Main event contains former UFC Welterweight champion Belal Muhammad against Ian Machado Garry.
