Public mood for Wimbledon 2026 tickets is now open – here is how to register

About 40,000 fans descend a day in the All England Club a day at the start of two weeks, and the Gras-Court Grand Slam remains one of the only sporting events in the world where tickets can be purchased on the day of the game.

The person who are prepared to face the queue, including camping at night, can be rewarded with Prime spots on Center Court or Court 1 for the first 10 days of the championships. About 1,000 are handed out every day – with the queue that often reaches in the region of 10,000 hopeful gamblers.

But as every tennis enthusiast will know, the most common way is to buy tickets through the Wimbledon public ballot. The practice has been around since 1924 to ensure that people have a fair chance to attend the 14-day championships.

The Wimbledon ventilation randomly assigns the seats for Center Court and Court 1, 2 and 3 games. Although it is perhaps one of the most popular ways in Wimbledon, it is still brightly competitive.

According to the Wimbledon websiteEach ballot is for two tickets. If a few seats are not available, some guests are offered two tickets for individual seats.

In addition, applications are limited to one per household and guests cannot indicate which day or match they want to attend.
