A doctor in Chicago who has placed dozens of women through unnecessary cancer operations so that she could finance her glamorous lifestyle.
Mona Ghosh, 52, wrongly told dozens of healthy women who were screened for cervical cancer that their results were abnormal.
She then gave them unnecessary biopsies and while they were stunned, the OB-Gyn performed other unnecessary treatments without their permission.
Prosecutors told DailyMail.com that in some cases the pain of these unnecessary operations was so serious that patients ultimately needed hysterectomies, or the removal of their womb.
Ghosh led the Progressive Women’s Healthcare Clinic in Hoffman Estates, outside of Chicago, where she regularly performed screening for cervical cancer.
