Our Premier League team of the week has been announced following last weekend’s action, with names from West Ham, Chelsea and Manchester United.
Goalkeeper: Martin Dubravka – Burnley
A challenging performance from Dubravka extended Burnley’s recent unbeaten run to three games.
The Slovakian shot-stopper made a clever double stop with the match goalless, before excellent saves from Dominic Solanke’s point-blank header and Mathys Tel’s effort kept the Clarets in the match. He couldn’t do anything about both Spurs goals.

Right back: Matheus Nunes – Manchester City
Manchester City welcomed back Matheus Nunes after his recent absence and the Portugal international has certainly made a difference.
Raved up and down the right against his former club and created the opener with a poor delivery for Omar Marmoush. Pep Guardiola’s conversion of Nunes to wing-back was a success. This was more proof of that.
Centre-back: James Hill – Bournemouth
Seized his chance at Bournemouth and looks set to stay there. Hill was outstanding again in the win over Liverpool, making seven miscues and registering a wonderful assist with a threaded pass for Alex Jimenez to score.
In addition to his defensive play, Hill’s long throws have become a real weapon for the Cherries. His late launch caused chaos for Bournemouth’s winner against Liverpool.
Center back: Harry Maguire – Manchester United
Harry Maguire may be playing for himself on his way to a new contract. The defender’s contract expires this summer, but he looks to be Manchester United’s best centre-back at the moment.
Excellent again in the win over Arsenal, he did not lose a single defensive game (5/5) and scored nine free points.
Left back: Neco Williams – Nottingham Forest
Full effort as always from Williams, who helped Nottingham Forest to a crucial win over Brentford. The Welshman led the match for tackles (4) and successful dribbles (2), while winning seven ground duels.
Midfield: Matheus Fernandes – West Ham
Real Madrid and Manchester United have been linked with Matheus Fernandes this month, and based on this evidence it is clear why.
Fernandes was phenomenal as West Ham defeated Sunderland to breathe new hope into their survival bid. He missed just five passes all match, completed eight of nine long balls, won 100% of his ground duels (7/7) and scored a truly stunning goal at the London Stadium. An action display of the highest order.

Midfield: Emi Buendia – Aston Villa
Emi Buendia must have thought his time at Aston Villa was over last summer, but the Argentine has been like a new signing this season. Buendia fired Aston Villa ahead in Newcastle, while The Villans securing a first win at St James’ Park in 21 years.
It was a glorious goal from Buendia and the highlight of a performance in which he combined trick and deception.
Right: Estevao – Chelsea
Liam Rosenior called Estevao Willian a ‘special talent’ after the winger’s electric performance in Chelsea’s victory at Crystal Palace.
A brilliant breakaway goal from the Brazilian opened the scoring, before Estevao supplied Joao Pedro. His potential is frightening.

Left: Patrick Dorgu – Manchester United
Looks reborn further forward. Such a threat in transition made up for a mistake in the build-up to Arsenal’s opener with a stunning goal to put Manchester United ahead.
Michael Carrick will hope his hamstring injury is not serious. Added so much momentum to this team from the left.

Forward: Jarrod Bowen – West Ham
The West Ham captain delivered this weekend as the Hammers secured three important points. A brilliant Bowen ball was met by Crysencio Summerville for the opener, before Bowen confidently converted the second from the spot.
He is now West Ham’s all-time leading goalscorer in the Premier League era and played a key role in the club’s best performance of the season.
Forward: Omar Marmoush – Manchester City
Omar Marmoush has spent much of last week linked with a move away from Manchester City, but he provided a perfect example of what he can offer.
An excellent volley opened the scoring against Wolves, while Marmoush was lively with intelligent runs throughout the match. He can offer an alternative to Erling Haaland now that Manchester City’s top scorer is going through a difficult period.
