Another Premier League manager has been sacked.
News emerges on Sunday (see below) that Wolves have sacked Vitor Pereira.
This comes just 45 days after he signed a new three-year contract with the club.
Vitor Pereira took over at Wolves from Gary O’Neil in December 2024, with the side 19th in the Premier League and just six points from their opening 19 games.
With ten wins from their remaining 22 league matches, Pereira pipped Wolves to safety in 16th place, above Spurs and 17 points clear of third.
However, after winning six games in April, Wolves have failed to win any of their fourteen Premier League games since.
Seeing a 3-0 defeat to Fulham yesterday seal Pereira’s fate, Wolves left rock bottom with two points from ten PL games.
The Athletics reporting – November 2, 2025:
‘Wolverhampton Wanderers have sacked head coach Vitor Pereira, just 45 days after signing a new three-year contract with the club.
Pereira’s last game in charge was Saturday’s 3-0 defeat to Fulham, which the 57-year-old described as his side’s “worst performance” of his tenure.
The result left Wolves bottom of the Premier League and without a win in the first ten games of this season.
Pereira signed a new contract with the club in September until 2028, despite Wolves having the worst start to a league match in their history with five consecutive defeats.
Wolves have taken just two points from their opening ten league games and exited the Carabao Cup in the last 16 against Chelsea with a 4-3 defeat on Wednesday.’
