The weekly Power rangers are back! Every week we produce a rolling layer of the ten best teams in Europe based on their recent versions.
Is it too early in the season to assess every side? Probably, but we do it anyway.
The biggest phone call this week is the exclusion of Liverpool. No, not even a Premier League title you get automatic qualification in our Power rankings.
The Reds have been reflected from their community Shield defeat to Crystal Palace with two wins from the first two rounds of the competition. But they were lucky to come up with six points of fascinating meetings (for various reasons) against Bournemouth and Newcastle United.
The defense of Arne Slot is poorly exposed and that is the main reason why they are not acting this week. Which clubs made it instead? Let’s know.
Power rankings:
10. NEC Nijmegen
Gatecrashing Our Power Rankings On No.10 is NEC Nijmegen, which is currently on top of the Eredivisie with three victories of three.
They are not only unbeaten, but they have completely destroyed their opposition by a total score of 12-1. It was also a good team effort, in which none of their players scored more than two goals.
Yes, certainly, they have confronted with some of the worst teams in the division, but let’s enjoy this. Let’s cherish ourselves in the glory of our new Dutch rulers!
9. Galatasaray
After he had signed Victor Osimhen permanently and had received Leroy Sane on a free transfer, Galatasaray was heavy favorites to win the super lying this year. They wear the tag slightly so far and win their opening of three games on a canter.
The Turkish giants have scored ten goals without an answer, although they do not yet have to meet any of the top edges in the competition. Nevertheless, it is imagined that they will shake off the ultra-efficient Trabzonspor, which has won each of their matches 1-0 and retained the title for a fourth consecutive year.
8. Sporting CP
Again, the level of opposition must be taken into account, but Sporting Clube de Portugal continues where they left last season.
After winning the title on the last day, before he secured the double in the cup final, the Lisbon outfit won three out of three to start the new term. Just like Nijmegen, they scored 12 goals and only admitted one. Who needs Viktor Gyokeres?
7. Arsenal
A victory of the opening day at Old Trafford should never be sniffed, but it must be said that Arsenal was pretty bad value for their 1-0 win over Manchester United.
The Gunners follow it with an absolute paddle against Leeds, making the poorly equipped side of Daniel Farke easily destroyed at home. You can’t place an enormous amount of stock in a win over a promoted team early, but you can see them do this for many opponents during the season.
The greatest care for Arsenal will be the injuries they have already suffered, with Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz already have setbacks. Maybe this year may not be their year either.
6. Spurs
They may have missed Ebereechi, but Tottenham Hotspur has promoted their rivals in the power ranking in North Londs, and that is the only thing that is important.
A 3-0 win over a terrible Burnley earned them Gedempte Praise, but they were praised to the high heaven for their 2-0 win over Manchester City, and rightly so. Although beating City is an annual tradition for Spurs at this stage at least once a season, Thomas Frank seems to have had an impact on their style of play and attitude.
Defensive Spurs looked better against City than ever under Ange Postecoglou, which is a miracle as Frank works with the same back line that the Australian did. And they pushed a frightening PSG side all the way to punishing the UEFA Super Cup.

5. Bavaria Munich
Bayern Munich succeeded their DFB-Supercup victory on Stuttgart with a six-purpose that about RB Leipzig Thrashing to get their Bundesliga title defense to a perfect.
Vincent Kompany rolled out a strong starting XI against Wehen Wiesbaden in the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday, but it was not the Walkover he had hoped for. After going two goals, the third layer fought back to make the score at 2-2. It took a 94th minute goal from Harry Kane to continue to the second round.
Not ideal, but still three victories of three.
4. Villarreal
The team at the top of the Laliga table is not Barcelona or Real Madrid, but Villarreal. Admittedly, only two games have been played and they are on points with four other teams. But they have been very impressive.
The yellow submarine has scored seven goals without an answer for the best target difference in the Primera division and they also have the best expected target difference (+3.5 XGD) in Europe’s top five competitions.
Villarreal will probably not retain this level of form in the course of the season, and their place in the Power rangers will not take much longer. But it is nice to dream about a relatively small club that might make the apple wagon upset.
3. Real Madrid
Usually there would not be much to get from two good Real Madrid versions against clubs such as Osasuna and Real Oviedo. But we learned a lot from a small monster.
First of all, Xabi Alonso has made all its mark on the team. They absolutely dominated the possession in a way that is typical of his philosophy. Secondly, he convinced Kylian Mbappe to play as a center-forward, something that Carlo Ancelotti was reluctant to do, while he split the minutes on the left between Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo. Franco Mastantuono and Brahim Diaz have one on the right.
This is clear how Alonso wants to set his front line for the near future; It will be fascinating to see how it develops during the campaign and how it is against the biggest clubs.
Real has gradually built one of the strongest squadrons in Europe, and they don’t even have Jude Bellingham back from an operation. I bet they will hardly be out of the top three this season.
2. Barcelona
While Real reinforced their backline in the summer transfer window, Barcelona added to their attack and signed Wide Vooruit Marcus Rashford and Roonon Bardghji. Given how their defense collapsed in the Champions League, it was wondered if they would be better served the strategy on their eternal rivals.
Anyway, Barça retains incredible offensive options. Hansi Flick has one of the best attacking talent that a manager could ask for, and they have already scored six goals in two games. It is reasonable to wonder if they have the right balance to challenge on all fronts, but they are undoubtedly still one of the most exciting teams in football.
1. PSG
Paris Saint-Germain may have lost the final of the Club World Cup to Chelsea, but it would hardly be forced to make an argument that they are not the best team in the world.
They have added the UEFA Super Cup to their Champions League crown, although they expected them to treat it more easily than finally. They could only manage narrow victories in their opening of two Ligue luminaires, but it is suggested that they will quickly touch their pass.
