A man was arrested in connection with several online threats that are aimed at Tiktok’s head office in Culver City, the authorities announced on Saturday.
The resident of Hawthorne, Joseph Mayuyo, 33, is accused of sending a series of online threats on several social media platforms, according to researchers from Culver City.
Representatives of the Social Media Giant reported to receive an extra online threat on Friday through a social media platform, where Mayuyo reportedly threatened the company’s head office.
The building was evacuated on Friday from an abundance of caution, the police said.
Multiple Legal Enforcement Teams conducted a study in the Mayuyo home, where the suspect made extra threats online, which stated that he would not be taken alive if officers tried to arrest him.
After obtaining an arrest and search order around 10:10 am, a Mayuyo negotiating team was able to remove from his home and was taken into custody.
“The arrest underlines the non -repellent dedication of the ministry to thoroughly investigate threats and to prioritize the safety of our community and local companies,” wrote a statement in a statement on Saturday.
Mayuyo was booked in the prison of Culver City Police Department on accusation of criminal threats.
