The PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2025 is an important event in the eSports calendar, which takes place from July 25 to August 3, 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi -Arabia, as part of the Esports World Cup. It has a prize pool of $ 3 million. Here is a breakdown of PMWC 2025 groups and teams below.

Here is a detailed breakdown of the tournamentodium size:

Group stage: Dates: 25 – 27 July, 2025

• Format: Teams are divided into 3 groups of 8 teams each. A total of 18 games are played during the three days, with 6 games that are played every day. Each group plays a total of 12 games in the group stage.
• Progress: the top 8 teams based on general points go directly to the Grand Finals. The remaining 16 teams continue to the survival phase.

Survival phase: Dates: 29 – July 30, 2025

• Advancement: The top 8 teams based on general points will continue to the grand finale. The bottom 8 teams are eliminated from the tournament.

Grand Finals: Data: 1 – 3 August, 2025

• 8 teams from the group stage
• 8 teams of the survival phase
• Matches: 18 games are played, with 6 games a day.
• Special rule (day 3): the “Smash Rule” is applied to day 3 of the Grand Finals.

Smash Rule (applied to day 3 of Grand Finals): The Smash Rule introduces a dynamic end to the tournament:

• Play regularly: playing teams with the help of regular tournament rules until a team reaches a predetermined “match point” threshold.
• Match point -calculation: The match point for this phase is calculated as: (Top 1 team points after match #12 of the Grand Finals) + 10 points.
• Match point -Fitness: As soon as a team reaches or exceeds the calculated match point threshold, they will be “Match Point” eligible for all subsequent games.
• Winning State: the first team that secures a “WWCD” (winner Winner Kip Dinner) after they have become Match Point, is automatically crowned the winner/champion of the stage and, by extension, the tournament.
• Maximum matches: a maximum of 6 games are played on day 3.
• Alternative winning condition: If, if, after all 6 games on day 3, none of the eligible teams eligible teams manage to claim a WWCD, the team will come up with the most general points as the winner/champion.
