PM Modi To visit Varanasi today, launch various development projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Saturday and launch the base and lay the foundation for various development projects worth around £ 2,200 crore.

“For my relatives in Kashi, tomorrow, 2 August, is a very special day. Around 11 o’clock in the morning I will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various projects with regard to education, health, sports, tourism and connectivity. On this occasion I will also have the privilege of releasing the 20th episode of PM-Kisan,” modes on Friday.

Security schemes have been tightened up in Varanasi with a view to VVIP movement in the city, with a multi-layered deployment of staff along the routes taken by the prime minister, officials said.

According to an official statement, MODI will lay the foundation and set multiple development projects worth around £ 2,200 crore.

The projects are suitable for several sectors – including infrastructure, education, health care, tourism, urban development and cultural heritage.

The prime minister will lay the foundation for various works under the Smart Distribution Project and Undergrounding or Electrical Infrastructure in his household constituency.

Modi is also planned to appeal to a public meeting in the village of Banuli (Kalika Dham) in the Sevapuri Assembly segment.
