Plea in the Supreme Court strives for redundancies by BJP -Minister about the comments of Col Qureshi

A plea has been submitted to the Supreme Court who is looking for the removal of Madhya Pradesh Minister Shah for his comments against Indian army officer Col Sofiya Qureshi.

The petition submitted by congress leader Jaya Thakur said that the statement of Shah causes separatist feelings and threatens the unity of the country.

“The minister’s statement that Colonel Sofia Quraishi is the sister of the terrorist who carried out the attack on Pahalgam encourages feelings of separatist activities by leading separatist feelings to anyone who has thus violated the sovereignty or unity and integrity of India.

The Apex Court On 28 May, the conclusion of the procedure for the Madhya Pradesh High Court against Shah for his comments and said it would investigate the case.

It asked for a status report from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that was compiled by the Madhya Pradesh government in accordance with the earlier order of the Top Court.

On May 19, the Tophof Shah reprimanded and formed a three-person sit to investigate the FIR against him.

Shah came under fire after a video, which was widely distributed, it reportedly showed him offensive remarks against Col Qureshi, who gained national fame together with another female officer, wing commander Vyomika Singh, during the media briefings on Operation Sindoor.

The Madhya Pradesh High Court punished Shah for passing “scurrilous” comments and the use of “Language of the Goths” against Col Qureshi, and ordered the police to submit a fir against him for accusing hostility and hatred.

After having drawn serious conviction, Shah expresses regret and said he respects Col Qureshi more than his sister.
