Pinterest adds Media Planner to help you manage your ad campaigns

Pinterest added a new one Element “Media Planner”. to its advertising tools, which provide another way to maintain oversight and control over your Pin campaigns and promotions.

As you can see in this example, Pinterest’s Media Planner gives you a broader overview of your Pin campaigns, including comments on targeting and performance estimates, making it easier to keep track of all your variables.

You can track any ad set within any campaign, so it’s a bit like Meta’s Ad Manager platform, making it easier to manage your process.

As explained by Pinterest:

The Pinterest Media Planner is built directly into Ads Manager, giving you one place to plan top-funnel campaigns without the need for additional tools or manual modeling in spreadsheets.”

Pinterest says its Media Planner offers three key elements:

  • Discover target groups: Discover and customize high-value audience segments for your campaign goals. Get Pinterest insights and analyze audiences based on different demographics, interests and keyword affinities.
  • Estimating chances: Use Media Planner to explore your budget options and view estimates for key campaign metrics such as impressions, reach, frequency, and CPM, as well as campaign consideration estimates for clicks and CPC. You can even get estimates for specific countries.
  • Model scenarios: Review various projections to determine the right budget and media needed to achieve your goals. Compare scenarios on everything from budgets and flight dates to target group and format.

So essentially a more comprehensive planning tool, making it easier to keep track of the different options for each campaign and track relevant data within a central source.

And with more and more people using Pinterest for shopping, it may be worth considering.

Pinterest reached a new record of 600 million monthly active users in the third quarter last year, thanks to its evolving product discovery tools, which now include AI matching, making it easier for people to discover relevant product options across a range of categories.
