The Billikens showed they can thrive offensively while tightening up on defense with a convincing 91-60 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne University in the first game of the Acrisure Invitational. For the third game in a row, SLU had a different top scorer. Guard Dion Brown had a season-high 21 points and was 8-9 from the field. A total of 11 different Billikens scored. Defensively, SLU held Purdue Fort Wayne to low shooting percentages from the field and beyond the arc, while holding the Mastodons 26 points below their season average.
