Phonepe said on Friday that it received the final permission from the reserve Bank of India (RBI) to operate as an online payment aggregator.
With RBI authorization, PhonePe will be able to expand its reach and use online traders, with a certain focus on small and medium -sized companies (SMEs) throughout the country, according to a release.
The company is of the opinion that the NOD positions positions to serve a broader spectrum of companies that are looking for reliable and safe solutions for payment processing.
SME at the core of the expansion strategy
Yuvraj Singh Shekhawat, CBO Merchant Business at Phonepe, said: “With this authorization, PhonePe is well positioned to speed up the financial inclusion by offering accessible payment solutions to companies that were previously disadvantaged, especially in the SME segment.” The focus of the company on serving both established companies and emerging companies corresponds to its goal of making broader digital financial inclusion possible, Shekhawat added.
Safe, reliable gateway with flexible checkout
PHONEPE said that the payment gateway offers companies with a safe and reliable platform to accept payments from their customers and offer a smooth check -out.
Furthermore, it said, the immediate onboarding of the platform and access to developer-friendly applications and plug-ins enable companies to get on board on board in a quick way, which increases the success rates for sellers and enables them to grow their business.
