In addition to its quarterback, Matthew Stafford, winner of the 2025 PFF MVP Award, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua also takes home some hardware this season: the PFF Offensive Player of the Year award.
For the second consecutive season, Nacua led all receivers in overall PFF grade, followed by his impressive 92.8 grade in 2024 with a 96.3 grade, breaking a record set by Tyreek Hill (93.7) in 2023.
In just his third NFL season, Nacua has etched his name in the history books. His 97.4 PFF overall grade against the Cardinals in Week 14 now ranks as the highest-rated single-game performance by a receiver in the PFF era (since 2006). But the accolades don’t stop there, as he claimed not one, but two spots in PFF’s 10 highest-rated games ever by a wide margin.

Nacua had a productive start to the year, but even that may pale in comparison to how he finished the 2025 regular season. Of the eight highest-rated receiver games this season, Nacua owns five – three of which came in the last five games. During that span, he recorded 46 receptions, 696 receiving yards and six touchdowns, en route to a PFF grade of 96.6.
He posted an NFL-best 3.71 yards per route, the third-highest mark among qualifying receivers in PFF history. It is because of that efficiency with the ball in his hands that the NFL’s top offense, the Los Angeles Rams, have chosen to make him the centerpiece of their offense, with his 34.6% target percentage leading all receivers with at least 100 routes run.
At just 24 years old, Nacua is performing well beyond his years. From generating separation to bringing in tough catches, there’s nothing he can’t do. But perhaps his most impressive skill is his ability to reel in contested catches. His 27 contested grabs this season are now the most among any receiver in the two decades that PFF has been charting data. With a contested catch rate of 71.0%, Nacua led all receivers with at least 15 contested targets by more than 6 percentage points.

No matter what opposing defenses threw at the Rams in an attempt to slow Nacua, it was inevitable that No. 12 would beat them. Whether in zone (96.1) or man coverage (92.4), Nacua led the NFL in PFF grade. Any way you slice it, Nacua wins.
