Perpetua Sources green lit for Idaho’s Stibnite Gold Project

Perpetua -Sources (TSX: PPTA, Nasdaq: PPTA) has guaranteed Last federal approval to continue the construction of his Stibnite Gold project in Idaho.

The US Forest Service has issued a conditional notification to continue this week, which confirms that the company has met all the requirements described in its decision reports of January 2025.

“After 8 years of extensive permit assessment and more than $ 400 million invested, it is finally time for the Stibnite Gold project to deliver for America,” ” said Jon CherryPercepetua Resources President and CEO.

“With the notification of the US Forest Service to continue and the Joint Financial Assurance package approved, we are ready to bring Stibnite back to life as a national strategically active,” Cherry added.

The project can make progress once Percepetua has posted the joint financial insurance bonds that have been agreed with national and federal supervisors.

The Stibnite Gold project carries both strategic and environmental ambitions. It is expected that it will deliver more than 100 million pounds of antimony about his expected 15-year-old mining life, which may make more than a third of the American annual demand.

Antimoon, used in ammunition and advanced defense systems, is currently largely imported from China.

The project is also designed to produce around 450,000 our gold every year. Proven and likely reserves on the site include 148 million pounds of antimony and more than 6 million our gold.

In addition to mineral production, the project is set up as an environmental repair initiative for a heavily affected historical mine site. Requesting plans for cleaning up legacy infection, reconnecting salmon with indigenous spawning grounds, improving water temperatures and improving wetlands and power habitats.

The final mining plan reduces the project footprint by 13 percent compared to previous designs and repair work for the input tax that take place in addition to mining activities.

Percepetua started in 2016 with formal permits under the National Environmental Policy Act. The Forest Service, as main agency, issued a concept of environmental impact statement in 2020, followed by a supplementary design in 2022, and a final government statement in 2024.

The last record of the decision came in January 2025 after a trial that made more than 23,000 supporting public comments.

The Trump administration included the Stibnite project Fast-41 Allowing a transparency list earlier this year, placing infrastructure and resources projects that are considered important nationally and are eligible for accelerated assessment.

The shares of percepetua reflected the breakthrough of the regulations and climb 2.2 percent in pre-market trade on Friday (September 19) after the notification to continue.

The company expects bonding to be completed within a few weeks, so that the road will be cleared for site work and a targeted commercial production in 2028.
