The devastating floods in Punjab have left the state that suffer from one of the worst natural disaster in decades. The Indian Premier League (IPL) -Franchise Punjab Kings (PBKS) has stepped to expand the support by donating Inr 33.8 Lakh to auxiliary efforts.
Punjab is struck by touring rain and rising water levels in rivers such as the Sutlej, Beas and Ravi. Located by heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir, together with Stroomkwartse Dam releases, the flood has so far demanded at least 37 lives.
According to official reports, more than 3.5 inhabitants of LAKH have been struck, with more than 1,000 villages flooded and nearly 61,000 hectares immersed. All 23 districts of the state have been explained by flooding, making it one of the most serious floods that Punjab has seen since 1988. In particular, more than 11,000 people have been evacuated with the help of the Indian army, NDRF, BSF and local authorities.

In the meantime, PBKs launched his campaign ‘Together for Punjab’. Working together with Hemkunt Foundation and Round Table India, the franchise promised Inr 33.8 Lakh to strengthen current auxiliary activities. The funds will be used to obtain the inflatable lifeboats from vital importance. These boats will also serve as permanent assets for disaster response for future crises in the state.
“We are devastated to witness the suffering caused by flooding in our beloved state and we are joining forces with Hemkunt Foundation and RTI to help help all those who are affected. Our efforts will be used to help the victims in flood -oriented regions of Punda,” ” reading explanation.
The franchise also announced that the funds would be used to distribute clean drinking water, delivering essential supplies and expanding medical assistance to affected communities. PBKS also helps to create a system that will help Punjab in dealing with such emergency situations in the future.
Apart from his direct financial aid, Punjab Kings has launched a fundraising campaign on ketto in search of INR 2 Crore. The collected funds will be aimed at the global Sikh Lovefoldness Institution, which has been actively involved in supporting flooding communities and rebuilding efforts in Punjab.
