Let’s go back to where we left off. After a successful show in Pune, we all left with a better mood and great expectations for Bengaluru. Everything went according to plan and the stage was set. The entire Payoneer team, including Nissim, Sanjukta, Lena, Keren, Adam, Rahul and Chitraparna, toiled hard as we worked together to put on a great show.
The visitors arrived as early as 4:30 PM. Rahul had to rush to his room early to change as he had to start and conduct the show. Well, we had the refreshments courtesy of the wonderful Marriott Whitefield to keep our guests entertained, along with some networking of our own. Finally, we started promptly at 6:15 PM with the signature EMCEE panache that Rahul showed at the Pune event. Now that our guests were all settled in, it was time for our speakers.
Patrick de Courcy, Head of APAC at Payoneer, welcomed the guests and briefed them on the agenda. He was followed by Om Thoke, Founder of Webfosys, who provided sharp insights on the importance of planning in the early stages of business.
After Om it was time for the session of all sessions; all eyes were on the stage when Rahul called Yuval Tal, the founder of Payoneer, who would tell us about the realities of maintaining and creating an international business. It was a really great and fascinating session. Our guests had so many questions and Yuval kindly cleared all their doubts.
In fact, no one wanted him off stage; there was so much on everyone’s mind. We finally had to apologize to everyone and take a short break. It was a much-needed break as the next few sessions were equally intriguing.
Immediately after Yuval’s session we had a panel where Croom Beatty (Corporate Strategy Payoneer) discussed the various issues related to Entrepreneurship and who better to answer them than industry experts like Ashish Dashrathi (Lead Digital Sales, Rohan Builders), Shoebahmed Sheikh (Director, Ideosphere Group) and Ramesh Joshi (Coders Trust). They gave us some really good insights into choosing teams, managing campaigns and much more.
After the panel, we had Madhav Bhandari (Head of Growth, Hubstaff.com) who highlighted the ability to maintain efficient remote teams and how they could be more cost-effective for your business. Nissim and Sanjukta followed him and told the audience more about Payoneer and how it can be used to drive business expansion around the world and integrate the convenience of transactional payments.
Finally, we had a fascinating session from Amit Misra (founder Dazeinfo), who discussed one of the most important agendas for entrepreneurial ventures: growth and how to hack it in the digital age. His insights were very detailed and based on real life experiments.
The event was so exciting that it was an hour behind schedule. Well, by the time we reached the closing ceremony and presented our one lucky guest with a cool iPad, both we and the guests were ready for dinner. Luckily the Marriott had everything sorted out.
Ultimately, the Bengaluru Payoneer Road Show turned out to be even more successful than Pune. I can only say that this was due to the combined efforts of the entire team and ultimately to the grace and honor of our esteemed guest.
