Paul Merson judgment on Newcastle United Four weeks in the season …

Paul Merson speaks about Newcastle United.

United with four weeks and three games of the new season that passed.

Then an international break brings everything to a stop.

Undoubtedly not the worst in the world this time for Newcastle United, because the Eddie Howe finally gave a little time to take stock and now prepare for the rest of the season with his six summer signing sessions.

Eddie Howe and Team are now preparing for their next game. A kick -off of 3 p.m. on Saturday, the home base of Wolven.

Paul Merson discusses how things now stand for Newcastle United while preparing for this St James’ Park Clash, after the first international break of the season.

Paul Merson talks with Sportskeeda for Newcastle V Wolves:

“I see nothing but a Newcastle profit here.

“Wolves are really struggling at the moment.

“I know that Newcastle did not make it either, but this is a great fixed value for them to get back on the right track.

“Eddie Howe has to start with Nick Woltemade, if not both he and Yoane Wissa together.

“Wissa did not play much football recently, so I am not sure if he will immediately go to the first eleven. But if you are those two attackers, there is no better chance to get rid of the goal than at home opposite wolves!

“I always go with the logic that if the best team in the competition you want to sign you, you are a good player. Bayern Munich wanted Woltemade, so he has to know how to play!

“If he and Wissa can get the goals together through Isak last season, it is in my opinion a good transfer window for Newcastle

“Newcastle has played better than what their points suggest this season so far. I expect them to win.

“Forecast: Newcastle United 3 Wolves 0”

I actually agree with a lot of what Paul Merson has to say.

While a point was fair against Leeds, Newcastle certainly earned it to win against Villa and Liverpool (with both 11 and 10 men on the field!).

It is of course also true that if you don’t take enough of your chances, it doesn’t matter how well you play.

Without Wilson or Isak, Eddie Howe did not have a senior striker to play through the middle, with Gordon and Osula fill it in. Now he has two major options.

The only thing I don’t agree with with Paul Merson is Nick Woltemade.

I totally agree with the part where he says that the fact that Bayern Munich was desperate to sign the striker, a backup of the fact that he could prove a great signing for Newcastle.

However, where I don’t agree, it is expected that Nick Wolade will start on Saturday.

Yoane Wissa is the Ready to Go Premier League -Orarry striker who has had in the English top layer for four years and scored 19 PL goals last season, none of them penalties. He just scored in both Dr. Congo internationals and has received an assist, physically in good condition.

Only injury could prevent Wissa from taking positive media reports from tomorrow and Thursday about his fitness of the NUFC training area.

Eddie Howe has repeatedly taken the brave route to give players the time to adapt, especially younger players, even more when it comes in from another competition, another country.

Nick Woltemade has so far only started 32 top matches (in the Bundesliga) in his entire career so far. He had a huge breakthrough season with Stuttgart last year, but I would be surprised if Eddie Howe did not intend to use him in initially, these games against Wolves, Barcelona and Bournemouth for starters. With then Bradford in the cup probably his first start, in my opinion.

Anyway, I see Newcastle United going a lot from the first whistle with a high press on Saturday, try to get the first goal and put on on wolves. I am convinced that United will take all three points and will really kick off our season.
