Palm Beach Cardinals add a cool alternate identity

Like many Minor League clubs these days, the Palm Beach Cardinals (Single A, Florida League) have adopted a rather cool alternate identity. Please welcome the frozen iguanas.

At first the undersigned thought: what on earth does this have to do with Florida? But frozen iguanas are a phenomenon in Florida where cold temperatures immobilize these reptiles, causing them to fall from trees even though they are not actually dead, but temporarily stunned (in torpor).a state of reduced physiological activity in an animalusually characterized by a reduced body temperature)) and can revive when it warms up. When it drops below 40°F (about 4°C), iguanas lose muscle control, stiffen, and fall from branches, a common occurrence during winter cold snaps in South Florida.

The Palm Beach Cardinals announced their alternate identity on their website with the following video:

There is already some merchandise available, but not that much. What the undersigned could really find out about field supplies is the photo below.

Assuming this is the look of the alternate identity, I have to say I like it a lot.
The navy blue cap with the baby blue front and the Frozen Iguana logo is simply amazing. But as often happens with these alternative identities, the merchandise, especially the caps, comes with a hefty price tag. The cap will cost you a whopping $50.00. Since MLB acquired MiLB in a cost-cutting move, things have become less affordable.

Nevertheless, the new look is very nice and well chosen, because it fits Palm Beach very well.
