Established in 1988, the Jerry Kaltenbach Memorial Trophies are awarded annually to the driver and trainer who earns the most dollars in a single season competing in Ohio Sires Stakes (OSS) events.
Page claims the most Kaltenbach prizes among drivers and won his 10th title this year. He started in 102 OSS events, winning 24 races, finishing second 14 times and adding 17 third-place finishes to earn $1.46 million.
“It means a job well done,” Page said of earning another Kaltenbach honor. “When I was a young man, my parents always told me to surround myself with good and smart people, and that would rub off on me, and that’s what I try to do.”
Brett Miller finished second with $912,200, good for 13 wins, 10 second places and six third places in 71 starts. Dan Noble finished third with $812,500 in earnings and a record of 19-9-11 in 74 starts.
A total of 46 drivers participated in the 2025 OSS events, with 41 collecting at least one purse check. Sixteen had incomes of $100,000 or more, and ten earned more than $300,000.
The Kaltenbach title was the eighth for Burke, who had 130 starts in the 2025 Ohio Sires Stakes stages, championships and consolations. His total money earned from those events was $2.29 million. He finished with 28 wins, 20 second places and 20 third places.

“This one means a lot,” Burke said of his latest Kaltenbach recognition.
Virgil Morgan Jr. finished second with $837,900 in earnings and a record of 12-12-6 from 48 starts. Chris Beaver finished third with earnings of $506,350 and a record of 5-9-16 in 62 starts.
A total of 91 trainers participated in the 2025 OSS events, with 21 earning more than $100,000.
In the 36 years that the Kaltenbach Trophies have been awarded, Page leads all drivers with ten trophies, followed by David Miller with seven. David Hawk and Brett Miller each have three. As for training, Burke has captured the title eight times, Morgan six times and Jim Dailey has won the award four times. Only two riders have won the Kaltenbach in both the training and driving classes: Sam “Chip” Noble III and Dave Rankin.
Page and Burke will be honored at the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association Annual Awards Banquet on January 10, 2026 at the Renaissance Columbus-Westerville in Westerville, Ohio. Seats are sold out.
