UFC lightweight star Paddy Pimblett is hours away from the biggest fight of his career this Saturday at UFC 324. Pimblett and UFC fan favorite Justin Gaethje will battle for the interim UFC lightweight title in the first UFC main event of the year.
Pimblett is not lacking in confidence ahead of his confrontation with Gaethje. He has predicted a brutal knockout of Gaethje inside the cage as he plots a future matchup with UFC lightweight champion and long-time rival Ilia Topuria.
But Pimblett has also feuded with another top prospect ahead of UFC 324, Dan Hooker. Pimblett and Hooker have been trading blows on social media for weeks, and in their most recent exchanges, things got extremely personal.
Ahead of UFC 324, Pimblett has repeatedly questioned Hooker’s skill ahead of a potential future fight. In his final comments on Hooker, Pimblett assessed Hooker’s fight against a Big Tech giant who has never competed in MMA.
Paddy Pimblett predicts that Mark Zuckerberg would beat Dan Hooker in a wrestling match
In a recent interview with Jon-Bernard KairouzPimblett was asked about Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s wrestling prowess and used this as an opportunity to taunt Hooker.
“I haven’t seen him train,” Pimblett said of Zuckerberg.
“But if he knows Jiu-Jitsu, he can definitely beat up the average person. Jiu-jitsu definitely has weight.
“Zuckerberg would probably beat Dan Hooker.” (h/t Bloody elbow)
At the time of writing, Hooker has not responded to Pimblett’s latest taunts. He will fight Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 325 later this month.
If a match between Pimblett and Hooker comes to fruition down the road, it’s safe to say Pimblett won’t be worried if the fight goes to the ground. In the meantime, their feud continues to heat up ahead of their big lightweight bookings.
