Three Big Rangers -Front views seem to look on the outside. Brennan Othmann, Gabe Perreault and Dylan Roobrock are all in today’s afternoon group, Working with the Hartford Coaching Staff Instead of the Rangers coaching staff. This is not really a surprise, because both Perreault and Roobrock were expected to start in Hartford and that Othmann did not play his way in the NHL -Line -Up. Noah Laba was not in particular with this group.
The NHL group had the boys you expected, Plus Laba, Brett Berard, Matthew Robertson and Scott Morrow. It is unlikely that all four Break camp with the Rangers, and it is worth mentioning that Morrow was practicing with Robertson, so there is a chance that both can be sent to Hartford if the Rangers will indeed go 15F-6D-2G to break the camp.
There are still a lot of difficult decisions that remain with that remaining quartet of prospects. But I really believe that the Rangers will be mistaken on the side of caution with Laba, because it is not necessary to hurry. Let him get big minutes in Hartford, while some boys who need the Rangers to make decisions in October. Berard certainly falls into that category, just like Conor Sheary and Juuso pars.
Remember that the lines that start the season are not the lines that end the season. For the first time in years, the first call -ups for the Rangers seem to be children, not for Journeyman Veterans.
