OSCAR DE LA HOYA REACTS ABOUT THE UFC BETTING SCANDAL AND TELLS DANA WHITE “GET OUT OF OUR SPORT!”
Fort Worth, Texas (November 7, 2025)– Oscar De La Hoya has never been one to hold back when it comes to expressing his opinions, especially when it comes to the UFC or Dana White. His comments about the UFC betting scandal were controversial Thursday, before Vergil Ortiz Jr. will face Erickson Lubin on Saturday evening. DAZN in Fort Worth, Texas.
De La Hoya criticized Dana White on his online show “Clapback Thursday,” accusing him of being a “bad influence” on the sport of MMA. He even went so far as to say, “Get the fuck out of our sport!” in response to the recent controversies surrounding UFC fighters and gambling problems.
It is clear that De La Hoya strongly believes that White’s leadership is damaging the integrity of boxing, especially given growing concerns about fighter safety, the Ali Act change and betting transparency.
This isn’t the first time De La Hoya has gone after Dana White; there has been tension between the two for years, mainly due to their competition in the martial arts industry. In recent years, De La Hoya, the president of Golden Boy Promotions, has often criticized White for his business tactics, fighter pay and his handling of certain issues in the UFC.
