Orange Bowl 2025 International Tennis Championships begin at the newly renovated Jimmy Evert Tennis Center – USTA Florida

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. December 8, 2025 – The Orange Bowl Committee, the City of Fort Lauderdale and USTA hosted a ceremony today to dedicate the new Chris Evert Stadium Court and unveil $9.5 million in renovations at the Jimmy Evert Tennis Center, a public park in Fort Lauderdale. The event marked the official reopening of the facility and kicked off the 2025 Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships. The centerpiece of the project is the 700-seat stadium court, named after Fort Lauderdale-born tennis legend Chris Evert.

The renovation includes 20 state-of-the-art clay courts, modernized infrastructure and enhanced amenities, positioning the facility as a world-class venue for both community play and elite junior competition. This transformation will ensure the center continues its tradition of accessibility while elevating its status as a premier tennis destination.

The dedication ceremony marked the start of the Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships, one of the most prestigious junior tournaments in the world. With roots dating back to the leadership of Jimmy Evert, the event has launched countless professional careers and remains a cornerstone of junior tennis development.

As part of this partnership, the prestigious Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships (Boys’ & Girls’ 16s and 18s) will call the newly renovated Jimmy Evert Tennis Center their home in the near future.
