The Games will take place on December 17 at Trump National Golf Club Jupiter in Jupiter, Florida.
Who are the captains and their teams?
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and World No. 2 Rory McIlroy are the respective captains. Scheffler will be joined by American Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley, five-time PGA Tour winner Sam Burns and rising star Luke Clanton.
McIlroy’s side includes Ryder Cup hero Shane Lowry; their two-time victorious European captain, Luke Donald; and global winner and Presidents Cup participant, China’s Haotong Li.

The Optum Golf Channel Games will air live on Golf Channel and USA Network beginning at 7:30 PM EST. “Golf Central Pregame” will kick off the event on Golf Channel at 7 p.m., with a “Postgame” to conclude.

What is the format for the Optum Golf Channel Games?
There are five challenges in which teams compete against each other for points. These are the events:
Timed Ride Competition: Competing in head-to-head duels with two minutes on the clock, players must combine power and accuracy to launch drives into a scoring grid.
Timed Short Game Competition: A combination of chipping and putting, players hit from multiple locations around the green before tackling a putting glove from different distances – with just three minutes to complete both challenges.
Challenge from 14 clubs: Two teams of two players from each side compete against each other and draw a club from one bag (including driver and putter) in a competition closest to the pin from a designated distance on the fairway. All fourteen clubs are used – seven shots per player per side – and once a club is used, it is out. Each team also selects a player to hit a left-handed 15th shot.
Timed Shooting: An alternating shot for four players on three holes, with the players lined up on each hole: one on the tee, one on the fairway and two around the green. The lowest score in the shortest time wins.
Captain’s Challenge: McIlroy and Scheffler will strike from predetermined locations. Shots include irons of various distances, as well as wedge, pitch, bunker shot, greenside shot, 30-foot putt and 10-foot putt.
