This morning at De Kwartel, Bug Nam the wraps of his unique Brouillard, a hypercar built by the coach that combines modern W16 fire force with deep personal heritage. It is the first public performance for the custom made Build, which broke cover about 10 days ago after a series of mysterious teasers we reported on. CEO of Bugatti Rimac, Mate Rimac, was on site to present the car personally to an ecstatic crowd.
De Brouillard marks the debut of Bugatti’s Program Solitaire, a new level of customization that lies above the already extreme sur Mesure offer from the brand. The primary goal is to channel the same spirit of models such as the most coveted coach Built variants of the iconic type 57: the Galibier, Stelvio, Ventoux and Atalante, via the lens of 21st-century engineering. Bugatti says it will only produce a maximum of two solitary cars per year, each built around existing powertrains and chassis, but wrapped in fully customized bodywork and interiors.

This stunning green example is named after the valued white and gray of Ettore Bugatti. Known for its speed and a surprising capacity to open its stable door with the help of a mechanism that is designed, the equestrian connection runs deep in the Brouillard. Inside you will find embroidered horse motifs, a miniature sculpture of the thoroughbred in the choice of gear and tartan substances that contrast with green-tinted carbon fiber from Paris. The glass roof floods the cabin with light and reinforces the already dramatic hut.
Outside, the Brouillard exchanges Chiron’s rounded tail for a much sharper coupé -silhouette with a fixed Ducktail spoiler, sculpted air inlet and a sweeping roof line. The overall form is both functional and beautiful, with aerodynamics designed to channel air and feed it with the enormous cooling needs of the W16. Yes, That Legendary W16 era W16, which has been duty since the days of the Veyron.
Despite the recent Rimac partnership of Bugatti and the debut of his hybrid V16-driven Tourbillon, the Brouillard contains the celebrated 8.0-liter Viert-Turbo 16-cylinder Uni, which radiates 1600 hp. This Hypercar is part of the last wave of W16-driven Bugattis, which is next to other ultra-restricted farewell models.
The timing is important because Bugatti has entered a new era, combined with Rimac and shifting to hybrid power. The Tourbillon gets all the headlines for its naturally extracted V16 and electric help, but the Brouillard proves that the last chapter of the W16 is written with the same level of passion that the French brand has defined for more than a century.
So here is the question: if solitary customers have beautiful machines come up with pretend De Brouillard, how far can Bugatti push this idea? Not a word about the price, but since this is a one -off, something in the eight digits cannot be excluded. That said, like a proof of concept, the Brouillard shows that in an extremely busy hypercar market there is Still room for a truly personal, coach -built creation.
