ONE Championship has announced two exciting matchups for A Fighting Night 40 on Friday, February 13, broadcast live in US primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Reigning ONE women’s strawweight kickboxing world champion Jackie Buntan will defend her title against Austria’s Stella Hemetsberger in a highly anticipated rematch. Their first fight in September 2025 was for the division’s vacant Muay Thai belt, which Hemetsberger claimed. Also on the card is 19-year-old Adrian Lee, who will look to bounce back from his first career defeat. He will face Japan’s Shozo Isojima in lightweight MMA action.
Both matches at ONE Fight Night 40 have significant ramifications. Buntan seeks redemption, Hemetsberger seeks glory in two sports, and two previously undefeated players look to bounce back from submission losses to the same opponent.
Filipino-American Champ Eyes Revenge at ONE Fight Night 40
The 28-year-old Buntan enters this title defense with a professional batting record of 27-7 and a 7-2 promotional mark to her name. The Filipino-American superstar has racked up impressive wins since her promotional debut in February 2021, establishing herself as one of the strawweight division’s most respected competitors.
Despite her success, Buntan has fallen short twice in attempts to capture Muay Thai gold, including the September 2025 unanimous decision loss to Hemetsberger for the vacant ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai world title. That defeat allowed the Austrian challenger to become her country’s first-ever ONE title holder, while denying the Filipino-American star’s two-sport dominance.
Now in control of the kickboxing throne, Buntan faces the ultimate test as Hemetsberger attempts to take her remaining title at ONE Fight Night 40. The title defense represents the champion’s opportunity to prove her kickboxing superiority while exacting revenge for the Muay Thai setback that prevented her from capturing titles in dual sports.
The youngest member of Lee Family is ready to bounce back
ONE Fight Night 40 also marks the return of Lee. The 19-year-old phenom from Hawaii represents Prodigy Training Center as the younger brother of two-division ONE MMA World Champion Christian Lee and now-retired former ONE Atomweight MMA World Champion Angela Lee.
Adrian won three $50,000 performance bonuses during his first three promotional wins, immediately establishing himself as one of the most exciting young stars in mixed martial arts.
However, his September 2025 challenge of ONE World Welterweight Submission Grappling Champion Tye Ruotolo ended in defeat, as the California native handed the teenage sensation his first professional defeat. The setback provided valuable lessons as he tested his warrior spirit in the face of adversity.
Japanese Rising Star plans to close Lee at ONE Fight Night 40

Isojima presents an interesting matchup, as the 28-year-old also suffered his only career defeat via rear-naked choke against Ruotolo.
Both fighters come in desperate to prove that their defeats were temporary setbacks rather than indicators of championship limitations. The winner will regain momentum while positioning themselves favorably within the competitive lightweight MMA landscape, making this meeting critical to both competitors’ career trajectories.
ONE Fight Night 40 will air live on Prime Video on Friday, February 13. The action starts at 9pm ET/6pm PT. The event is free for all Amazon Prime subscribers in the US and Canada.
