Olympic gold medal swimmer Mack Horton and wife Ella have put their South Melbourne apartment up for sale with a price estimate of between $900,000 and $990,000.
Horton scored a first-place finish at the 2016 Olympics in the 400m freestyle, becoming the first male swimmer from Victoria to do so.
At the 2020 Olympics, he received a bronze medal in the men’s 200-meter freestyle relay along with teammates Zac Incerti, Flynn Southam and Elijah Winnington after swimming in the preliminaries but not in the actual final race.

He announced his retirement from swimming in January 2024, but has remained active in the sport and served as president of the Australian Swimmers Association.

Mack Burgoine and Ryan McKenzie said the Hortons’ two-bedroom home had a New York loft style.
Set in a circa 1880s building, it features polished hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings and two terraces lined by original parapets and draped with ivy.
The open living and dining area features a kitchen with stone countertops and stainless steel appliances.
The apartment has polished hardwood floors, high vaulted ceilings and a door to the balcony.
The house is located in a building from around 1880.

Mr Gardiner said the Hortons had converted a small third bedroom into a walk-in wardrobe for the master bedroom, providing ample storage space.
He added that the bright living room and terraces were among the highlights of the house.
“It’s incredible to sit out there with a glass of wine and look out over Clarendon St and the city lights, it’s spectacular,” Mr Gardiner said.
“You have the borrowed greenery on the trees outside and the beautiful Boston ivy growing around it, it adds to the privacy and the feeling of a hidden oasis”
Younger buyers and downsizers are among the top buyers inspecting the property, he added.
“We see it is an opportunity for young professionals to enter the South Melbourne market,” Mr Gardiner said.

There are two terraces where you can eat outside.
Downsizers view the apartment as a ‘lock up and leave’ base in inner-city Melbourne.
The apartment also features a bathroom with integrated laundry room, video intercom, split system heating and cooling, and access via internal and external stairs.
It is close to public transport, South Melbourne Market, Albert Park Lake and Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens.
The house at 192A Bank St will be auctioned on December 6 at 12:30 p.m.
