History is guaranteed this weekend in Resorts World Theater. For the first time since 2019 there will be a new classic Olympia Champion of Physique. Six times title holder Chris Bumstead had his last dance and called it a career. He has taken his last round around the sport as a champion and will see someone else in the center of the stage.
The question is, who will that be? Even with Bumstead and now the Open Pro Urs Kalecinski from the Line -up, that is two of the top three finishers from the 2024 Olympia from the running. Before we break down the contenders, the full line-up of 59 men is below.
2025 Classic Physique Olympia Line -Up
Top candidates
Mike Sommerfeld
Last year’s second place was Mike Sommerfeld, and he scored points on Bumstead in that last match of the C-bum career. Sommerfeld started that momentum by winning the 2025 Arnold Classic Physique title, making him the heir. However, nothing is guaranteed.
Some extra speculation and mind games are played by some opponents because of the recent news that every competitor will be measured. If Sommerfeld do not weigh under the cap based on that height, all the work is for nothing. If he could free up that obstacle, many see him as the next champion in waiting.
“I can’t wait to show our last physique in the Mr. Olympia Bodybuilding Stage,” he wrote on Instagram.
Ramon Rocha Queiroz
Just like Sommerfeld, Ramon Dino also has a silver medal on his cloak. The former dual Olympia-Tweede was fourth in 2024 and sees this as his best chance of claiming the elusive golden version so far. Fans in South America would certainly like to see it happen, and with two of his biggest obstacles now from the line -up, he will not come to Las Vegas to miss again.
Terrence Ruffin
Terrence Ruffin is not the biggest man in the line -up, but he is the version of this division of Lee Labrada. Although he is too much, his shape, conditioning and symmetry unparalleled. Just like Labrada, Ruffin is also a Masterposer.
Ruffin has two Arnold titles and finished second in the Olympia in 2020 and 2021. He was from the 2024 Olympia, but this season has won both the Pittsburgh Pro and the New York Pro.
Breon Ansley
Breon Ansley is the only champion from the past that is still participating in the division. The champion 2017 and 2018 has plagued to go to the 212 several times, but has again declared itself in the classical physique Olympia this season. As a champion from the past, he has eligible for life, as long as the IFBB Pro League approves.
Ansley finished fifth in 2024 and did not participate this season. He is one of the handful of athletes of the inaugural classic physique of 2016 Olympia to still compete.
Dark Horse candidates
Josema Munoz
Josema Munoz from Spain grows physically and in terms of popularity. He was sixth last year and it seems that there are not enough contenders to prevent him from going up. The question is how far he can go, and what is needed for him to claim the first place? He should probably count that some rivals have been eliminated, but strange things have happened in bodybuilding. Don’t count him out.
Michael Daboul
Michael Daboul is like the Energizer Bunny of his division. He just seems to continue and find himself contrary. He was seventh last year and was sixth in 2023. There may not be much chat about him prior to the game, but he is dead to ensure that they talk about him afterwards.
Matheus Menegate
Matheus Menegate waited until late in the season to present his 2025 physique. That patience resulted in silver in tampa and gold in Texas. The second -year Pro became ninth in Las Vegas on the Olympia 2024. As he showed during his two performances, he is now better than then.
Matthew Greggo
Emerging star Matthew Greggo has trained with and learns from 2023 Mr. Olympia Derek Lunsford. That experience in the gym will be of good service to him, while trying to improve his 10th place as the last Yar. Greggo was the Detroit Pro Champion 2025.
