Mrs. Dhoni, the legendary leader of India, has again impressed fans, this time outside the cricket field. The former India skipper recently announced on social media that he has officially earned his drone pilot permit.
Dhoni completed the training at the DGCA approved external pilot training organization in Garuda Aerospace in Chennai. Garuda, where Dhoni acts as a brand ambassador and investor, confirmed that the 42-year-old had picked up the skills quickly and focused on the training.
“Mahi Bhai is an inspiration and his hands-on approach validates our dedication to skill and innovation in this sector,” said Garuda CEO Agniskwar Jayaprakash.
Dhoni is to keep his personal life private and has long aimed hobbies such as motorcycling and aviation. He also has strong ties with the Indian army and has an honorary rank of lieutenant -colonel in the parachute regiment of the territorial army.
In 2019 he completed a 15-day attachment in Jammu and Kashmir and later became a trained parachutist. Dhoni’s cricket defense is unparalleled. Since he debuted in 2004, he became the only captain in history who won all three ICC trophies: the T20 World Cup 2007, 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy.
Although he retired from the international cricket in 2020, he continues to lead Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, where he scored 5,439 points in 278 races, including 237 Sixes, and led CSK to five IPL titles.
