Beyond simply enjoying a successful market debut, the Nike Yes 3 is in some ways an essential part of an overall Nike Basketball revival, easily the most well-received of a futuristic crop that includes the GT Future and GT Cut 4. If the model didn’t release another colorway for the remainder of its run, we could safely crown one to remember, but we still have the bulk of the offering in front of us, including the Ja 3 “Year of the Horse” that has just been officially unveiled.

The Nike Ja 3 “Year of the Horse” was first shown to the public via early overseas images and later confirmed in circular fashion by the man himself, while identical titles or otherwise “Chinese New Year” editions have flooded the newswire. Last but not least, Morant’s pair utilizes traditional red and gold colorways, the latter via metallic Swooshes on the medial and lateral sides, while amping up its inspiration with Hanzi lettering on the insoles (馬當先, which loosely translates to ‘take charge’).

The actual equestrian starting point is shown with pony hair material on the tongue and plenty of Clydesdale-esque brown on the upper. Light blue embroidery in the triangular Yes logo and ‘TMT’ text at the bottom of the lacing provide a different contrast. For those who care about the packaging details surrounding a shoe, the Nike Ja 3 “Year of the Horse” doesn’t skimp on that department, coming with a gold-plated drawstring bag and a pull-out red/gold box with a flip on the same concept.

An official release date for the Nike Yes 3 “Year of the Horse” has been confirmed for January 16, 2026 for $145; they will also be available in GS ($112) and PS ($97).
