President Donald Trump believes the upcoming UFC event at the White House could feature “eight or nine” championship fights – but oddsmakers say the numbers are wrong.

Betting experts at BetOnline.ag are projecting a much smaller lineup, with odds indicating only three to four fights total will take place in the unique White House Octagon setup. The sportsbook has already released prop bets that reflect their expectations, indicating skepticism toward Trump’s ambitious supercard vision.

Trump has also repeatedly said that his favorite fighter is a heavyweight knockout artist Derrick Lewisbetter known as ‘The Black Beast’. Lewis is coming off an impressive first-round stoppage of Tallison Teixeira earlier this year, and due to Trump’s public praise, sportsbooks now list him as the favorite to compete in the UFC White House event.

Oddsmakers have also opened a market by predicting which weight class will headline Washington, DC. The light heavyweight division is the overwhelming favorite – prompting speculation about which top contenders or champions could be tapped for the historic main event.
