OZONE PARK, NY – The New York Racing Association, Inc. (NYRA) has canceled live racing following Sunday’s Race 2 at Aqueduct Racetrack due to high winds currently affecting the New York City metropolitan area.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for sustained high winds and gusts of more than 40 miles per hour.
The grade 3, $175,000 pebbles [Race 3]which will be held at 1 1/16 miles on the outer turf, and the $150,000 Forever Together [Race 7] returns on Sunday, November 23, with entries due on Wednesday, November 19.
Aqueduct Racetrack remains open for simulcasting and betting is also available via NYRABets.com.
Live racing resumes at Aqueduct on Thursday with a nine-race card. First post is 12:10 PM Eastern.
