Will Rangers finally get a goal on their own field? After all, the third time is the charm, right?
The Blueshirts welcome the Edmonton Oilers back to MSG with the hopes that Stuart Skinner will cure all their home scores. Charlie Lindgren stole one for Washington on Sunday night, helping the Rangers start the season winless at home. The only clunker was the opener, and while the Rangers have played better, they are still without that coveted goal at MSG to get the crowd into it.
The Rangers are still looking for a goal at home, and now Edmonton begins a rough stretch of games against likely playoff teams. Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal are all next on the docket, with Minnesota next week before the Rangers travel for their annual road trip through Western Canada. Hopefully this is the game where the Rangers finally break through.
