NY Rangers Game 15 Open Thread: Rangers in Detroit

The Rangers are back in action, thankfully away from home, as they travel to Detroit to take on the surprising Red Wings. Detroit has one of the best defensive pairs in the league and a top nine good enough to make things difficult for a Rangers team that simply doesn’t put the puck in the net. It seems like two goals is all the opposition needs to guarantee a win over Rangers, and barring a few games that seems to be the case.

There’s another lineup and low and behold, Taylor Raddysh does his best Blake Wheeler impression in the top six. That’s no small thing for Raddysh, and more of a small thing for the roster construction. Raddysh shouldn’t be in the top six like Jonny Brodzinski, who I love as a Ranger, shouldn’t be in the top nine. But that’s Rangers hockey.

Jaroslav Chmelar makes his NHL debut tonight.
