You may be familiar with it Investors in people or have seen the logo.
This organization represents a vibrant community of businesses dedicated to putting people first, improving the working environmentand driving success for employees, customers and businesses.
Together they strive to create a positive impact in the workplace and beyond.

The Investors in People standard is built around it 3 important principlesdivided into 9 indicators.
Principles and indicators
- 1. Leading and inspiring people: Leaders motivate, trust and are role models for others.
- 2. Living the values and behavior of the organization: Values are clear, adhered to on a daily basis and guide decision-making.
- 3. Empowering and involving people: Employees are trusted, empowered and actively contribute to improvement.
- 4. Manage performance: There are clear objectives, fair evaluation and accountability.
- 5. Recognize and reward high performance: Recognition is fair, consistent and meaningful.
- 6. Structuring work: Work is designed to enable collaboration, innovation and work-life balance.
- 7. Construction ability: Continuous learning and professional development are key priorities.
- 8. Continuous improvement: There is a strong culture of innovation and feedback.
- 9. Creating sustainable success: People’s strategy is aligned with long-term objectives, adaptability and resilience.

Meet the platinum level criteria
Each of the nine indicators is assessed four levels of maturity:
- Developed (basic good practice)
- Established (consistent, embedded practice)
- Advanced (strong, proactive practice)
- High performing (world-class practice, benchmarking)
To achieve Platinumthe company must demonstrate that:
- It satisfies all 9 indicators at least at the “Advanced” level.And
- At least 7 of them at “High Performing” level.
The IIP assessor concluded that Mid Ocean Club had demonstrated:
- Maturity and evolution of the organization in the past three years.
- Recent leadership changes have brought this about innovation and cohesion between departments.
- The diverse workforceincluded 15 nationalitiespromotes global perspectives and cooperation.
- A strong sense of trust and confidence in leadership has created a stable and progressive environment.

During the review process, the club, which boasts a Golf Digest World Top 100 golf course, received a 542-page submission report by with surveys effectively showing how it has successfully met a range of key indicators.
The evaluation emphasized the importance of sustainability as the company begins a major renovation of the clubhouse.
This project is part of a long-term master plan intended to ensure that club facilities are ready for the future and meet changing needs.
This wasn’t the first time that The Midocean Club Bermuda succeeded at the Investors in People awards. In 2022 they were shortlisted in three categories:
- Foreign Employer of the Year (gold),
- HR Person of the Year, and
- Young Man of the Year.
