Nuggets-Thunder gets into heated battle after Lu Dort trips Nikola Jokic in wild scene

The NBA got a little spicy on Friday night in Oklahoma City in the Thunder’s 127-121 win over the Nuggets.

The two teams engaged in a heated battle in the fourth quarter after Oklahoma City’s Lu Dort tripped Denver star Nikola Jokic, leading to a heated scene at center court with both teams pushing and shoving.

It all started after Jared McCain hit a two-point bucket for OKC, and on the ensuing impact, Dort appeared to take an intentional step — almost like a hip check — on Jokic as he walked back onto the court.

The teams came together, but officials eventually calmed things down before they could Real escalate.

After review of the play, Dort was assessed a flagrant 2, meaning he was ejected from the game.

Jaylin Williams of Jokic and the Thunder also received technical details in the bizarre scene in Oklahoma City.
