Based on the complaint filed by SI Ravi Varma, alleging that Mr Ramesh organized a cycle rally, obstructed police in discharge of their duties, caused traffic jam and caused inconvenience to public, Ibrahimpatnam police on Saturday (February 7, 2026) registered a case against the former minister.

A case has been registered against the YSRC leader under Section 132 (interfering with a government servant in the discharge of his duties), Section 190 (unlawful assembly), Section 292 (causing public nuisance) and other charges against Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
Former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy and other YSRC leaders visited Mr Ramesh’s house, which was allegedly attacked and burnt by activists of the Telugu Desam Party.
