The New South Wales Central Coast electorate of Robertson has retained its status as the longest exaggerated Bellwether chair of the country.

Since 1983, the party that Robertson won has been formed the government.

Around 9 p.m. during the election evening it became clear that the trend, which has now overstrained 16 elections in a row, would continue.

Labor’s sitting member Gordon Reid arrived at the function of Labor in Etalong to raw applause as the Split etc number that I saw Shales Shales.

“It is becoming increasingly clear that Robertson will be preserved by the Australian Labor Party,” he told the crowd.

“We are going with the Bellwether again. People have spoken tonight and I am very happy with that.

“What you have achieved has made our region and our country a better place for everyone.”

Lucy Wicks from the Liberal Party held the chair from 2013 to 2022, when she lost to Dr. Reid.

The sitting member entered the election campaign with a margin of 2.2 percent, but on Saturday evening it seemed to increase that buffer on the back of a swing of 3.5 percent.

Dr. Reid, a Wiradjuri -man, paid tribute to his grandmother, who encouraged him to enter politics before the 2022 elections.

Aunt Robyn Reid said she was not proud of his victory the second time.

“He will be prime minister one day,” she said.

“I gave him 10 years and I think he will make prime minister.“

But Dr. Reid played that prediction.

“I still have a few doors to beat before I got there,” he said.

Campaign Focus ‘On the people’

Mrs. Wicks said it had been a “difficult” campaign.

“The focus was on what it mattered the most, on the people of Robertson,” she said.

“For every person who shared his story, opened their door or offered their support along the way, thanks.”

Mrs. Wicks congratulated her opponent and said that Robertson’s people would now look at him for a strong representation.

“I sincerely hope that he serves our community with the dedication it deserves,” she said.
