Katharina Nowak has been appointed president of the Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Nowak previously served as a vice -president of business activities for the race. At 28 she becomes the youngest president of a Formula 1 event and one of only two women in the role around the world. She will replace Tyler EPP, which led the event since 2022 and has left the position to accept a new role elsewhere.
“I am pleased to announce Katharina as our president,” said Tom Garfinkel, managing partner of the Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix.
“She is one of the most talented young managers I am in and I know that she will continue to build on what is located here-that we are dedicated to innovative fan experience and delivering an event of world class for drivers, teams and fans. I also want to thank Tyler for his leadership.
Nowak became a member of the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium Enterprise in 2019 and has held countless roles for the organization in various events, business partnerships and business activities. In 2023 she was promoted to supervise the business activities for the Miami GP and in 2024 she was appointed vice president. In this role, she led cooperation on all business and operational departments involved in building and implementing the Grand Prix, led the relationship between the organization with Formula 1, served as an important negotiator in business and partnership opportunities and led all strategic planning for the race.
Nowak, born in Vienna, Austria, graduated with a diploma advertisements/public relations at Chicago, the Loyola University.
“I am both humble and excited to take on this new role as president,” said Nowak. “In this new chapter, our goals will continue to be unchanged-We will continue to provide an exceptional event for our stakeholders, with Elite On-Track promotion and Fan-First experience in the center of everything we do. We have an incredible team that is committed to Excellency, and I am enthusiastic to continue the work that has already started.”
