The left arm Pacer admitted that the technology and calmness of Hashim Amla made him the most difficult batter than Virat Kohli. In their fighting, Afridi never succeeded in rejecting Amla in tests. The Pacer added: “I felt that he is a very good Batsman and he is excellent in what he does. Virat Kohli is another player, but Hashim Bhai is more difficult than him. Absolutely the most difficult.”

Amla, in particular, retired as one of the modern greats of Cricket, and he is the third highest Run scorer for South Africa in International Cricket. Amla played 124 tests, 181 ODIs and 44 T20Is for South Africa, ending with a stunning 18,672 international runs, including 55 centuries and 80 half-century to his name. He withdrew from the international cricket in 2019.
