BCFC fell on their third loss on Saturday afternoon in four champion matches when they were beaten 3-0 by Coventry City. They were already 1-0 down by a Brandon Thomas-Asante goal when Jack Robinson was sent away after 42 minutes. A Bright Osayi-Samuel Own goal and a Victor Torp striker completed the defeat.
The blues of Chris Davies are now 11th in the championship table. Three wins, a draw and three defeats they have on 10 points from seven games.
As for Sheffield on Wednesday, they go to Birmingham City and have protected a good point against shape side QPR.
The hoops had won three in a row before they went to Crisis hit Hillsborough But the owls managed to keep them a draw. Dominic Iorfa had SWFC 1-0 during the break, but a Nicolas Madsen fine shortly after the restart saw the loot shared.

“Three defeats in four games show that it was not good enough of Birmingham City. The red card hinded their bid to fight against Coventry City, but early it is hard to claim that they have shown enough to fight it with the top dogs of the championship.
“Despite the fact that she spends well and had attackers with a good pedigree, goals are really hard to find. That must be tackled, even if they have been able to keep it reasonably firmly.
“There is no doubt that BCFC are big favorites here. Sheffield fighting and fighting hard on Wednesday, but on paper they should not be a party for a team that has had the level of investment that the blues had.
“However, football is not played with propcontact and Wednesday the resilience shown to grind good results. Unfortunately I think they will just get short, but I see them giving the blues a real match here.”
