The Northern Lights has a moderate opportunity to appear in the air above the Northern US on Monday, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, after the effects of a geomagnetic storm, the earth influenced.
Monday’s prediction comes after Noaa had recorded a G3 “strong” geomagnetic storm on Sunday evening.

Which states could the Aurora see?
The northern states along the border of Canada could all possibly see the Aurora on Monday evening, according to Noaa, with all of North Dakota, Minnesota above the “viewline” NOAA estimated as the southern cutting point to see the lights. Effective are the whole of Alaska, anything but the southernmost part of Wisconsin and Noord -Michigan, above the viewline. Much of Washington, Montana and South Dakota could also see the lights, according to Noaa, along with some northern parts of Idaho, Wyoming and Iowa. Northern parts of Upstate New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine could also see the Aurora on the east coast.
What is the best way to view the Northern Lights?
Experts at Noaa recommend that viewers are getting closer to the Magnetic Arctic of the Earth to get the best potential sights. Viewers must find a higher viewpoint of the city lights and go out in the period that the Aurora is most active – usually between 10 p.m. and 2 hours
