A Furious Phil Dowson, director of Northhampton Saints of Rugby, has accused Bordeaux -Begles of aiming Henry Pollock after an “out of out” incident after the last whistle in the final of the Investec Champions Cup.

Northampton was closely beaten by the French side in an exciting affair in Cardiff, with Bordeaux securing their first European title with a victory of 28-20.

Rising Star Pollock enjoyed a Breakout season in which he went from the edge of the first team of Saints to a British and Irish Lion Tourist and seemed to be treated well by the opposition of Northampton.

Yet a post-match Melee Pollock seemed to be gesting to his throat after a Fracas in which Pete Samu, Tevita Tatafu and Jefferson Poirot were involved and seemed to be fueled by a collision between Saints skipper Fraser Dingwall and Bordeaux-Beggles.

Although the victors quickly praise for their performance, Dowson was angry about the incident.

“There was a Fracas at the end, there was false game involved,” Downson said. “I am convinced that the Touch judge has seen it and will treat it correctly.

“Henry Pollock was very upset because I think it was not for and out of the order. He responded and the officials told me that they will deal with it.”

The Director of Rugby of Northampton indicated that the club can quote a Bordeaux player if the officials don’t do that, while Fly Half Fin Smith thought that his colleague colleague of England was the target of the target.

“They were after him,” said Smith about Pollock. “I don’t think they liked him. He will be fine. I remember that they are all being sued in him (Bordeaux players) and tried to get him.

Smith added two penalties and two conversions, but the superior finish of Bordeaux made two attempts for Wing Damian Penaud, while Locks Adam Coleman and Cyril Cazeaux also touched.

Matthieu Jalibert started a penalty and conversion, and Captain Maxime Lucu also kicked a penalty because Bordeaux made it five years in a row for French clubs to win the tournament.
