If you think of the important moments in your life before the age of 16, what do you think about? Perhaps you quickly remember that your friendships built at school at school, develop a special family vacation or an interest that has endured in adulthood. However, it is easy to overlook how fundamentally a safe and supportive home life is for these forming life experiences.
Before 16 Is a local non-profit organization founded by our broker, then Spransy, who focuses on helping ‘older orphans’ (Age 6-16) around the world in finding their forever family. It can be a surprise that many children ‘aging’ orphans support services at the age of 16 in their home country, and that 16 is usually the boundary age for an international adoption. Study in adult life on this sensitive era, many non -adopted teenagers end up in unsafe situations.
However, before 16 offers a practical solution: help alleviate costs host families Unpleasant are linked to orphans for a four -week stay in their house. The adoption percentage of an older orphan is 70 times higher if they only live with a host family for a month. This is partly because there is a different family dynamic to bring an older child into a house. The hosting process has proved to be very successful, because families rather welcome the chance, knowing that the experience can be a blessing for everyone, even if it does not lead to an adoption. In collaboration with Project 143Before 16 offers subsidies to these families, reduce their costs and make it much more realistic for more families. This summer, before 16 $ 19,000 awarded to families to help 15 children (including 3 brothers and sisters) and hopefully they will all find them family forever.
Those who choose to organize in the short term is not expected to accept the child they are accompanied by, although many are considering adoption, but rather create opportunities for their community to make contact with them. This can share nice memories on social media, planning a meeting with friends to introduce the child, or other social plans that expand the child’s community. In fact, founder then Spransy started this non -profit organization after meeting and adopting one of his children after they have met them at an event!
